Directions: From I-35 in Austin, take Rt. 71 E and then go south onto Rt. 183 and go 3 miles to the McKinney Falls State Park entrance (follow signs). Get a map and directions at the Visitors Center when you pay the entrance fee. There is a short walk from the parking lot to the falls.
Notes: I went to McKinney Falls in Texas November 2, 2006. The first two photos above show the falls- it was hard to get a good photo because the falls was in the shadows. The forth photo shows the falls from above. The last photo is looking upstream from the falls.
Be sure to also see McKinney Falls - Lower Falls while you are in the park.
