Siskiwit Falls

Location: Bayfield County, Wisconsin

Water Source: Siskiwit River

Drop: Series of many small waterfalls

Flow: Year

Directions: From Washburn go northwest on County C for about 18 miles to Siskiwit Falls Road. Turn right (east) on Siskiwit Falls Road for 0.12 mile and park on either side of the bridge over the Siskiwit River.

Notes: I went to Siskiwit Falls in Wisconsin August 29, 2003. Any corner of the bridge will take you down to the river. There are waterfalls both up and downstream. According the Wisconsin Waterfalls by Patrick Lisi, the property on both sides of the river is privately owned, so you must walk downstream following the path that hugs the river.

I came from Bayfield farther north that Washburn, so I took Star Route Road/Stage Road to Robes Road to the bridge on Siskiwit Road. That was over 13 miles of not much of anything. Somewhere along that road there were 3 boys who had a lemonade stand. I stopped for some lemonade and cookies and asked how business was. They said it was "pretty good."
