Middle Falls, Brule River

This falls was first visible when climbing down a very large stairway (about 150 steps). The trail continued to the falls, and down to the shore. The trail then continued on the the Devil's Kettle Falls, described below.

Devil's Kettle Falls, Brule River

Another set of steps (about 60 in one set) led back up to the top of the bluff overlooking the Devil's Kettle Falls. There were two falls coming down, as you can see from the first photo. The falls that was farthest away dropped into a large hole, and didn't visibly come out below. The second photo was taken from right over the falls, and the third shows the water going into the hole. This was a long, rather difficult trail (to the Middle Falls and the Devil's Kettle Falls) because of all of the steps (over 275 - I lost count). But it was worth the hike!

The song "Waterfall Waltz" was composed and recorded by Will Bush ( vesperian@email.com ) for use on my waterfall pages. Thanks Will!
