Unnamed Falls on Tobacco River

Location:

1 mile north of Gay

Directions:

Take the road along the shore north from Gay to where the Tobacco River crosses the road. Stop just before the bridge and follow the trail along the river bank.

Trail:

There is a short trail that follows the river upstream from which both falls may be viewed.

Other Information:

I saw these falls from the road as I was crossing the river and stopped to get a better view. These falls are not listed in the Michigan Waterfall book nor on any list that I saw, so it was quite a delight to find them! While they are not large, the thrill of finding them on my own more than made up for their size.
