Marge signed an agreement in 1944 with Western Publishing Company for publishing and distributing a variety of books, comics, and other publications which featured Little Lulu and other characters assiciated with her in stories, pictures, or other printed form. This included coloring and other activity books, phonograph records, games, puzzles, and sewing cards. The agreement also included comic panel rights for newspaper publication. This page contains information about the comic books. I will put some comic covers here to show a variety of months and the changes in the covers over time. You may click on the thumbnails to see a larger image. (This page is still under construction.)

Marge's Little Lulu #154

Here is the front cover. The Dell logo changed with this issue to
look like a stamp with the 15¢ price included with the word
"Dell".
Marge's Little Lulu #160
October, 1961
Here is the front cover. This comic, or #161 (I don't have that
one) is the last Dell comic to be published monthly. A bi-monthly
and then quarterly schedule was used in 1962.
Marge's Little Lulu #162
February-March, 1962
Here is the front cover. Issue #160 was October, 1961, with the
comics being published monthly. I am missing issue #161, so I
don't know what month(s) it was for (if anyone can tell me, I
would appreciate it.) Issue #162 is dated February-March, 1962,
with the comics being published bi-monthly. There was apparently
a gap, because if #161 was November, 1961 or even
November-December, 1961, that leaves January unaccounted for.
Marge's Little Lulu #163
April-May, 1962
Here is the front cover. This issue also states the comics were
published bi-monthly. The Dell logo changed with this issue, no
longer looking like a stamp and including numbers.
Marge's Lulu and Tubby in
Japan May-July, 1962
This comic does not have the usual issue number, and it states
"Published by Dell Publishing Co, Inc." rather than
"Published quarterly. . . ." It appears this one fills
the gap between #163 and #164.
Marge's Little Lulu #164
July-September, 1962
Here is the front cover. It states in this comic that the comics
are being published quarterly, instead of bi-monthly. This is the
last Dell Little Lulu comic to be published. The next comics were
Gold Key, although both the Dell and Gold Key comics stated the
comics were designed and produced by Western Printing &
Lithographing Co.
