Little Lulu Activity Books

This Whitman book #1415 is Marge's Little Lulu Trace and Color Dot to Dot. It has a 1957 copyright by Marjorie Henderson Buell. There are 48 pages in it, along with tracing paper between the pages. See the sample page with Tubby, on which the child is instructed to trace Tubby's head, and the sample page with Little Boy Blue, on which the child is instructed to trace everything except the boy's head and hat (this goes on the back of the previous tracing paper.) When finished, the child has traced a picture of Tubby as Little Boy Blue.

Color and Wipe Off/Magic Slate Book:

This Whitman Marge's Little Lulu book #2962:88 "To Color - wipe off and color again! with a MAGIC SLATE drawing board," has a 1960 copyright by Marjorie Henderson Buell. It comes with an attached box of Magic Crayons. It also comes with a Magic Slate attached at the back of the color pages. The picture below on the back of the front cover shows Lulu using the Magic Slate and Tubby wiping off the page he colored.

Read and Color Book

Little Lulu and the Great H-I-C-C-U-P Cure #1376 is "A Book to Read and Color," a story book in which the child can color the pictures. The pages have been partially colored to indicate the colors to be used. This Whitman book has a 1073 copyright by Western Publishing Compny, Inc. The book, which is approximately 7" wide and 16" tall, has 24 pages and originally sold for 49 cents.

Dot Books:

Here is a Little Lulu Dot Book #1267 with a 1973 copyright by Whitman Publishing Company, Inc. There are 96 pages with dot-to-dot pictures. This book sold for 39 cents.

Color and Activity Book:

This Whitman Little Lulu Color and Activity Book #1640 is missing the inside page, so the copyright date is missing, but I believe it is from 1973. Some of the coloring pages are similar (although redrawn with different details including the features of Lulu and her friends, which are closer to those in the Cinar cartoons of the 1990s) to those in the Golden 1990 A Coloring Book Little Lulu, and that book shows copyright dates of 1973 and 1990. It has 116 pages.
