Directions: Take Rt. 8 east from Dunbar for about 3 miles to Lily Lake Road. Take Lily Lake Road south )right) for about 1.5 miles to a 4-way intersection with a sign pointing to Twelve Foot Falls County Park. Turn right on Twin Lakes Road and go toward the park 0.5 miles to Twelve Foot Falls Road. Turn left (south) on that road and go for about 3 miles to the end, where you will intersect with Trout Haven Road. From the stop sign look slightly right across the road for a dirt road leading southwest into the forest. There is a sign for Horseshoe Falls at the beginning of that road. Take it 1.5 miles to a sign to the falls to the right on Forest Road 510. Take that road for almost 0.5 miles to another sign to the falls to the right and turn right. The parking area is 0.2 miles down that road.
Notes: I went to Horseshoe Falls in Wisconsin August 28, 2003. There is a sign at the trailhead and a short walk to the falls. The falls are horseshoe shaped as they wrap around the bend of the river.
As you are going down Twelve Foot Falls Road, you will see signs to Bull Falls, Eighteen Foot Falls, Twelve Foot Falls, and Eight Foot Falls. Be sure to stop there on your way back from Horseshoe Falls.
